Meet the founder & HOST

Our Founder, Alexandra de Roos, is no stranger to dreaming big and pursuing her dreams. She started dancing at 2 1/2 years old. At the age of 14, she moved away from home, by herself, to train as a pre-professional ballet dancer at the School of American Ballet at Lincoln Center in New York City. At the age of 8, she created Peace Love Leotards, an organization which seeks to bridge the socioeconomic gap in the performing arts by providing dancewear and virtual training videos to underprivileged dancers, which was incorporated into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit when she was 16. It has since helped over 1,000 dancers around the globe. After sustaining a severe concussion, Alex's dance career has taken a pause. She currently teaches dance, is an advocate for performing arts funding, is a college student, and is the current Miss Gainesville, on track to pursue her dream of becoming Miss Florida and a sports psychiatrist.
